DESCRIPTION:Marketing y Human Resources son dos de los temas clave de la nueva syllabus de Business. Como incluyen conceptos que se prestan tanto a essay questions como a cálculos y diagramas\, son dos apartados que siempre están presente en los exámenes. En esta primera sesión\, cubriremos el material correspondiente a SL de ambos temas. \nDurante esta clase trabajaremos los siguientes temas: \nMarketing planning and research \n\nMarket orientation vs product orientation\nMarket segmentation and positioning\, with relevant diagrams\nNiche and mass markets\nMethods of primary market research\nMethods of secondary market research\nSampling methods\n\nMarketing mix \n\nProduct\, and product lifecycle model\nBranding\nTypes of promotion\nPricing strategies\nPlace and distribution channels\nPeople\, Processes and Physical evidence\n\nOrganizational structure \n\nDelegation\, span of control\, levels of hierarchy and chain of command.\nCentralisation vs decentralisation.\nMatrix structures.\nFlat or horizontal structures.\nTall or vertical structures.\nEvaluating organizational structures.\n\nLeadership styles and motivation \n\nAutocratic and paternalistic leadership styles.\nDemocratic\, laissez-faire and situational leadership styles.\nTaylor’s\, Maslow’s and Herzberg’s motivation theories.\nFinancial rewards.\nNon-financial rewards.\nOn-the-job\, off-the-job and induction training.\n\nPara ello\, emplearemos preguntas oficiales de examen adaptadas completamente a la nueva specification (los nuevos Paper 1 y Paper 2)\, a través de las cuales practicaremos todos los tipos de habilidades\, haciendo hincapié en las más difíciles: utilizar el vocabulario de Business correctamente\, introducir y utilizar diagramas y desarrollar los essay questions más complejos. \nY si tienes dudas\, ¡tráetelas!
