DESCRIPTION:Ésta es la segunda de las dos clases dedicadas a Theory of the Firm\, uno de los temas clave de Economics HL. En este caso\, nos centramos en la sección más difícil del temario\, especialmente importante para Paper 1 y Paper 3: Oligolopoly y Government Intervention. \nDurante esta clase trabajaremos los siguientes temas: \nOligopoly \n\nCharacteristics of oligopoly.\nConcentration ratios.\nReasons for price stability.\nCollusion.\nGame theory and relevant diagrams.\nPrice and non-price competition.\n\nGovernment intervention \n\nMarket power and market failure.\nLegislation and regulation.\nGovernment ownership.\nFines.\n\nPara ello\, emplearemos preguntas oficiales de examen (Paper 1 & Paper 3)\, a través de las cuales practicaremos todos los tipos de habilidades\, haciendo hincapié en las más difíciles: usar el vocabulario económico adecuadamente —tanto en los ensayos de Paper 1 como en las preguntas breves de Paper 3—\, incorporar diagramas\, realizar cálculos\, hacer referencia a ‘real word examples’ y desarrollar argumentos económicos con los que obtener la máxima puntuación. \nY si tienes dudas\, ¡tráetelas!
