DESCRIPTION:En esta sesión\, trabajaremos los apartados de Macroeconomics y Global Economics que son exclusivamente de HL. Estos temas son algunos de los temas más difíciles de la syllabus\, y seguramente marcarán la diferencia entre un 6 y un 7 en la nota final. \nDurante esta clase trabajaremos los siguientes temas: \nAbsolute and comparative advantage \n\nTheory of comparative advantage.\nDiagram and calculations for comparative advantage.\nLimitations of the theory of comparative advantage.\nUsing comparative advantage along with other topics of Global Economics.\n\nBalance of payments \n\nBalance of payments definition.\nCurrent account.\nImpact of persistent current accounts deficits.\nTools to correct a current account deficit.\nJ-Curve effect and the Marshall-Lerner condition.\n\nMonetary policy \n\nQuantitative easing.\nMinimum reserve requirements.\nOpen-market operations.\nInterest rate determination and relevant diagrams.\n\nPara ello\, emplearemos preguntas oficiales de examen (Paper 1 & Paper 3)\, a través de las cuales practicaremos todos los tipos de habilidades\, haciendo hincapié en las más difíciles: usar el vocabulario económico adecuadamente —tanto en los ensayos de Paper 1 como en las preguntas breves de Paper 3—\, incorporar diagramas\, realizar cálculos\, hacer referencia a ‘real word examples’ y desarrollar argumentos económicos con los que obtener la máxima puntuación. \nY si tienes dudas\, ¡tráetelas!
