DESCRIPTION:Ésta es la primera de las dos clases dedicadas a Theory of the Firm\, uno de los temas clave de Economics HL. Theory of the firm incluye los diagramas más complicados de la syllabus de Economics IB y siempre está presente en exámenes de Paper 1 y en Paper 3. \nDurante esta clase trabajaremos los siguientes temas: \nTheory of the firm diagram & calculations \n\nMR\, AR\, MC and AC curves.\nConditions and efficiencies.\nShutdown points.\nRevenue\, cost and profit calculations.\n\nPerfect competition & Monopoly \n\nCharacteristics of perfect competition.\nLong-run and short-run diagrams.\nCharacteristics of monopoly.\nBarriers to entry.\nNatural monopolies.\nCosts and benefits of perfect competition and monopoly.\n\nPara ello\, emplearemos preguntas oficiales de examen (Paper 1 & Paper 3)\, a través de las cuales practicaremos todos los tipos de habilidades\, haciendo hincapié en las más difíciles: usar el vocabulario económico adecuadamente —tanto en los ensayos de Paper 1 como en las preguntas breves de Paper 3—\, incorporar diagramas\, realizar cálculos\, hacer referencia a ‘real word examples’ y desarrollar argumentos económicos con los que obtener la máxima puntuación. \nY si tienes dudas\, ¡tráetelas!
